LINGFIELD GREYHOUND STADIUM

The greyhound track and schooling ground on the Eastbourne Road in Lingfield opened in 1991. It was one of the largest tracks in the country with a circumference of 475 metres. Racing took place on Saturday afternoons, with sprints over 300 metres, standard races over 475 metres and distance races over 700 metres.

The track boasted a short history and closed a year later in 1992.
